What is a delivery note (Lieferschein)?

A delivery note accompanies a shipment of goods and lists the delivered items with quantity and description. It documents what was delivered and serves both recipient and supplier as proof. Unlike an invoice, it usually contains no request for payment.

Does a delivery note need to show prices?
